Just when you thought the Audi S7's twin turbo V8 was adequate to satisfy one's adrenalin rush, Audi decided to re-release a re-tuned and upgraded version of the power plant into the all new RS7.
This killer engine produces 560 brake horsepower @ 5700 - 6700 rpm and a monstrous 700 Nm of torque @ 1750 - 5500 rpm. The RS7 will launch to a 100km/h in less than four seconds with the help of Audi's all wheel drive system, and then to a top speed of 280km/h.

The RS7 presents itself with swooping rooflines of most four door coupés in the current market. Aggressive front fascia details, such as larger air intakes and badging specific to the RS models and signature LED daylight running lamps are just some of the features to start with. The traditional trapezoid grille with the horizontal slats on the A7 is replaced with a high, black gloss honeycomb structured grille to add to the bold looks. A stylised rear diffuser and dual exhaust chrome tips grace the back of the car. 20 inch five spoked wheels come as standard.

Carbon fibre or aluminium packages are optional for both the interior and exterior of the vehicle for those owners wanting to add to the sporty feel of this compact sports car. These packages add accents onto the dashboard, centre console and doors. RS specific sports seats covered in black Alcantara and leather seats are standard. RS7 badging is seen throughout the car's interior. The dual gauge cluster is pleasant to the eyes with a screen in the centre for navigation and all the digital readouts of the vehicle. Automatic headlamps, cruise control and steering wheel controls are just a few of the creature comforts in the RS7. Of course, like many luxury cars on the market, the options list are vast, from the colour of the stitching to the expansive B&O sound system.

The complete RS7 details are yet to be announced in Australia but officials suggest that prices will go up to a whopping $200,000. This sport-back compares to three other well known German brands who have manufactured cars - such as the BMW M6 GranCoupe, Mercedes-Benz CLS63 and the Porsche Panamera Turbo. Admittedly, they are all fantastic cars, but it all comes down to personal preferences in the end.
